Day 16: Los Angeles, California – A Star-Studded Adventure with an Unexpected Twist
Day 16 of our 116-day world cruise brought us to Los Angeles, California. LA was not just another stop—it was also the final destination for passengers who had only booked the first leg of the Princess World Cruise 2025. This incredible journey is divided into five segments:
Since Walter and I are in it for the full 116 days, we were excited to continue our journey. For our LA shore excursion, we opted for the Star Track Tour, which promised a glimpse into the city’s glitz and glamour.
The first part of our tour took us through Hollywood Blvd., Rodeo Drive, and their surroundings, where our guide pointed out iconic buildings and shared their fascinating histories. We then had two hours to explore Hollywood Blvd. on our own, but instead of fully soaking in the sights, we found ourselves on a mission—mailing some important documents to New Hampshire.
After enjoying a flavorful bowl of ramen at Kino Sushi and Ramen (https://www.kinosushihollywood.com/), we followed Siri’s directions to find a FedEx mailing center. Luckily, our search didn’t last long—we found one at the Loews Hollywood Hotel. While not the Hollywood adventure we had envisioned, at least our documents made it to their destination!
Once everyone was back on the tour bus, our guide took us on a drive through Beverly Hills and Bel Aire, showcasing the homes of various celebrities. It would have been the perfect way to wrap up our LA experience, but unfortunately, I was battling a fever that day, making it harder to fully enjoy the tour.
To top it off, the recent LA wildfires prevented us from stopping for the classic Hollywood sign photo—a slight disappointment, but understandable given the circumstances.
Despite the hiccups, our visit to Los Angeles was still a memorable one, and as we set sail toward our next destination, we looked forward to the adventures still to come.

The iconic Witch’s House, also known as the Spadena House, is an enchanting house in the heart of Beverly Hills that appears to be plucked straight out of a fairytale.
