Day 1: Embarkation – The Journey Begins!

The day we had been eagerly anticipating had finally arrived—embarkation day for our grand 116-day world cruise! The excitement was palpable as we stepped into this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Check-in was seamless and quick, thanks to our Medallion, allowing us to bypass long lines and head straight to our stateroom. After completing the safety protocol, we wasted no time and made our way to the Lido Deck, where the Sail Away Party was already in full swing.

With a refreshing piña colada in hand, we watched the talented singers and dancers of the Island Princess as they set the celebratory tone with their lively performance. But the real party began when the Mockingbird Band took the stage—these guys were superb! The music was infectious, and while Walter enjoyed the atmosphere, Janice danced her heart out until her feet couldn’t take it anymore.

After the party, we returned to our stateroom to check if our luggage had been delivered. Once everything arrived, we got to work unpacking and organizing, making our mini-suite feel as comfortable and cozy as home. With everything in place, we finally settled onto our balcony, soaking in the breathtaking sunset and the realization that this was just the beginning of an unforgettable journey. Pure bliss.
